14 in all and i saw her give birth to all of them 8) It was a really nice experience being that i never seen any of them give birth and it just happened by chance i had just finished feeding my fish and i saw her drop one in front of me

well my friends are starting there own aquarium so i plan to give some to them

Be prepared for more soon (4-6 weeks I think). Plattys can give birth several times without a male present.

One of my platty had 30 plus last time & the other one had 66. After losing some to the filter I have 112 in total.

More due in 1-2 weeks and again 2 weeks after that. Could end up with over 200.

None of my mates are into the same sports/pastimes/hobbies as me so 'they ain't got nowhere to go' unless lfs will take them all. He will take some but not sure just how many is some.

PS. NEVER even seen ONE born in all that lot.

I know ive had them before they sure do have alot of kids but my uncle is a manager for a petstore so he takes some in

One of my sunburst platties had birth ( I was even sure she was pregnat being a newbie and all) and before you could count to 100 all the other platies and tetras had eating every single one

but since out of my 5 platies 4 are girls I'm sure I will see more coming

Not really I mean it's all part of the cycle of life, I was more upset with myself for doing tons of reasceach on fish AFTER i bought them and not realizing that she was pregnat, I mean I was thinking she might be but in the furture I will know about the fish i get BEFORE i buy them, also like I said I'm sure there are more to come.
