I have a very picky female CT betta fish who will ONLY eat frozen BS (brine shrimp)
I am going away in a few weeks, and I do not want to have to make my pet sitter pull out the frozen- defrost - and feed from the spoon thinger.
Nevermind the digustingness of them, I personally do not mind them, and will go to many extents for my fish, but I cannot put her through that.
How can I transfer the fish to flakes? Should I starve her until she accepts it? I can do this gradually, because I DO have 3 weeks.

Thanks in advance for any replies

If you are leaving her for anything less than a week then don't worry too much, she'll survive without being fed for a week. She'll probably be hungry enough to eat anything when you get back!

Have you tried floating pellet food? Hikari make a nice floating betta food that mine seems to adore and he won't eat flake either. Using a fast day or two before trying alternative foods seems like a good idea to me.

most bettas won't touch flake food. try getting some of the hikari pellets like snapefish mentioned. you shouldn't have much of a problem switching her over.
