So.
I have discovered that Jack will only eat things that move. He's a predator of the MiniBow ocean.
Therefore, he won't touch his pellets til they start sinking.
He swims by and rolls his eyes at the daphnia we're now trying for him, and unfortunately that doesn't ever sink - it just floats over and sticks to the side of the tank.
Same with the freeze dried bloodworms.
OOoOoOoh I really don't wanna get into the whole real live food thing because of the fears of bacteria and stuff.
Will he eventually just learn to eat what we put in there?

) I did find out (quite by accident) that if you hold your finger in the opening little flap and wiggle it where they can see it, it kind of sparks their appetite. I can't explain it, but once they've done the "butt wiggle" and jumped out of the water at my finger they eat the food IMMEDIATELY after it hits the surface of the water. Almost as if they think they've scared some large insect into falling into the water???
I dunno... but it works and I do the jumping ritual every morning. LOL... I'm starting to sound a little psyco aren't I....
LOL
