I usually give my bettas Hikari Betta Pellets. My three petstore "mutts" love them, and have no problem eating them. My new guy, who is only about three or four months old, always spits them out. Could they be too big for him?

He eats the frozen bloodworms and mysis just fine. I've also been giving him some tiny marine pellets that are mostly veggies and soft. Is there another betta pellet that would be smaller for him? Or is this diet ok for him? I've never had a betta reject Hikari before....

P.S. He has a couple ADF as tankmates, which I think he is rather fond of. The other night I couldn't see anyone in the tank, until I looked in the terra cotta pot and saw all of them in there together. Very cute. :)

I have the same picky betta problem! It almost seemed like the pellets were too hard, so he would chew on them a bit and spit them all out. So I started to feed him bloodworms and he'll take flakes too. I tried soaking 5-6 betta pellets for about 10 mins or so and he ate about half of them, so that seemed to work a little, but he's been doing just fine with the other food.

You could try soaking first, i dont know what size pellets the ones you have are, but I have attisons betta pro and its fab

i've been having the same problem but dixasiy what are the veggie pellets called i might try those since my betta really loves peas
