Picking A [air

i have 8 dempsey juvies and i want to eventually wind up with one breeding pair. Couple questions. i know how to sex them already but how do i pick the sucessful pair when they are ready. anything i can do to speed growth and the process?

Post this in Central American cichlids, and just out of curiousit, how big is the current tank?

to speed the growth procces is a bit imposible, but to give them a little boost, just do frequent water changes and feed good quality live food, and make sure the water param is spot on.

They will pair off by themselves sooner or later, just give them time.

50 gallon i only intend to keep one pair the rest will be returned to a pet store from what i have read i should be able to pick the pair when they are between 2 1/2 - 4 inches
