I currently have the photoperiod on my tank set to 8 hours and this is split:

5 hours - 7am-12pm
3 hours - 6pm-9pm

My questions are is the photoperiod sufficient for a planted aquarium and am I ok to split the times or should I be looking to have a continuous 8 hours?

Cheers

Tom.

I dont see a reason for the split? Unless you have one? Too mich of a gap for my liking between the split too, too unnatural, id go continuous 8hours for sure :good:

Thanks, the split was due to me wanting to be home when the lights were on, ie the morning and evening. I'll change it to 8 continuous hours in the afternoon/evening.

Yeah I can understand but would be best as advised, i have mine from 3-11pm
