Hello all, please can you share a few photographs of your home made DIY both sump filters and sponge filters?
Also, if possible, why you do prefer the one above the another, if you do combine both filters in the same tank, etc.

Actually you can search the youtube for many ideas on how to make a sponge filter or air lift filters.

Anyway, I don't DIY my own sponge filters because they are cheap.

There is another type of sponge filter where they use a big piece of sponge.



You also have the air lift filter. Some shops also sell this kind of PVC pipe with the piece of sponge.
