Photobucket Monthly Bandwidth Exceeded

hi, as you can see all my pics have vanished. is this because i have too many pics in my folder or that i have too many img tags in posts etc...

not sure how to cure the problem (without upgrading to premium account)

Monthly bandwith usage is the amount of times your pics are downloaded/viewed, so if you have them in your sig etc and you post a lot then they keep being downloaded from their site and they will only allow you a certain amount of data each month!

You can resize your pics to make them smaller in data size that should help keep it down. Or create another acount on the photo place and split your pics between the two! Your pics are just too popular

I just clicked on your link to your photo page and I can see them as well as your sig. Looking at how many pics you have on there I would definately split them up into different accounts and in your sig just post the different links (maybe like jimboo01, jimbooo2 etc)

good plan. the only problem i can see is if i move any pics to another account the img tags will be lost in my previous posts. all the pics i have ever attached will vanish. we're talking hundreds here, not just a few.
i may just pay the $20 to upgrade rather than redoing hundreds of posts. unless theres a way to keep the img tags

If you've got the $$$ probably easier to pay than to move them all then Just check that you get a good increase on the amount of bandwith they allow you!

ok, i was lazy. typing in 16 digits seemed a lot easier than redoing all the posts. note to any other photobucket "premium" users they resubscribe you automatically each year. if you dont want to renue it you have to tell them or they will automatically charge you annually.

Honestly could not be bothered with re-doing all the tags etc.
