I do know they use phosphate absorbing resin but I dont know if the resin is something that gets saturated and becomes usless... Not sure, but i'd like to know too.

Most modern removers work until they are full then just stop. Older products used to deteriorate when they were exhausted and leach the material back into the water, but a quality product should be no problem at all. What is the product?
