Hey everyone!
After seeing all your journal's and aquariam's pictures, it made me gaze into them in thoughts and it was very atonishing. You all made me so jealous of your tanks and finally i'm going to start a journal! This fishkeeping hobby made me spend over half thousand of dollars for everything. So far i'm very pleased of the progess i'm making. If it was never for this forum. I'l be back with my lousy, ugly, and unnatural look of the aquariam. So on behalf of this journal i'll like to thank Jimbooo, Gf225, Zig, and many more people for all there help and journals!


This is my tank before i saw this forum.

This is the tank what i had for like 4 years. I barely rearanged anything. I didn't have many things. Such as c02 injector, High lighting, Fert's, and laterate.

Now just yesterday, I totally rearanged my tank. I took almost everything out. Only kept the two dwarf saggetarias. I bought 4 peices of driftwood at my LFS for around 30$. As you can see at bottom left i carpeted the wood with java moss. I'm expecting few more java moss too come next week. The tank is pretty empty right now. I ordered 15 dwarf mondo to cover the right side, making it look like a mini jungle. However i'm still deciding on what to buy for behind the wood in the right. and what to have on the left. Oh and i almost forgot, I'm going to get a black background and mabye some other stuff at my LFS tomorow. I would love your idea's!

My Plants:

~2 Dwarf Saggetarias
~1 Java Moss
~15 Dwarf Mondo
My Fish:

~5 Guppies
~5-10 Guppy Fries
~4 Harlequin Rasboras
~3 Pepper Corydoras
~1 Oto.

My Tank:

~ Marineland Pengiun Bio-Wheel Filter 20
~ Topfin Heater 150 watt
~ Nutrafin C02 DIY Yeast Method
~ 15 watt flourescent tube(need to upgrade soon)

word! the only reason i've started my journal is so that i can get pester people for info

your tank looks alot better already i gotta say man. i've got two massive bits of bogwood i inherited and i'm not too keen to use them as they dominate my thin tank, but i think the bogwood you have is just right (or it could just be the ace way you've arranged it?)

Yeah; they're 4 peices and i just carefully stacked them. I'm going to my LFS today to buy a background and mabye couple plants. I'l take pics later. I also expect my order of 15 dwarf mondo to come today or monday.

Yay! today i got my shipment of 15 dwarf mondo. As you can see i had put it in the right side of the tank. I might find some slates and carpet it with java moss in front of it. I couldn't get a black background because the lfs didnt have any.. i'l have to check my other 3. I'm going to buy java fern and put it in that hole in the highest driftwood. Do you guys have any our adother ideas of what to put in the left side and front of the tank? Thanks for your ideas!
