I was wondering if the strip tests for pH can work on things other than water? I'm wanting to test the pH of things like shampoos, soaps, milk, etc and am afraid it will be near impossible to just litmus paper. I was hoping that the pH strip tests for aquariums would work. Wasn't real sure where or who to ask about this...

I suspect you would get a reaction from the paper in different fluids. Now, on how accurate that reaction would be, is almost anybody's guess, especially since those test strips are rather notoriously inaccurate on aquarium water anyway.

You should be able to google the pH of some common liquids and compare with how accurate your test strips are for unknown samples.
