hello my PH level is 7.7 in my tank is this normal my fish seem fine but i just want to double check
if you can let me know that would be great thanx

Yes sounds fine. What type of fish are you keeping ? What is your tapwater pH ?

sorry i havent done a tapwater ph i havent got the kit for that although when i do a weekley water change i use aquasafe(makes tap water safe)

pH 7.7 is slightley alkaline, neutral is 7.0. If you got some bog wood in the tank, that would probably be enough for it to be considered neutral. Bog wood will slightely lower pH. However if you are thinking of african cichlids, alkaline is good for them. What have you got fish wise at the moment. Also do you know the pH of water from lfs where you got any fish. Consistent pH is much better than non consistent. Many fish will adapt slightely if consistent. Don't try chemcal lowering, it will be very inconsistent. There is a way to do change it using RO water, but if you can get away with it I would.
