ok i have never had an issue with pH before... my tap comes out at a pH of 7.4 and thats about where my tank normally stays...
RIGHT NOW
Ammonia 0 ppm
Nitrite 0 ppm
Nitrate 10 ppm
ph 6.5 (like i said its normally 7.4)
temp 78 F
10 gallon tank
Fish: Male betta, 11 cherry shrimp, 6 male endlers, Dwarf clawed frog, and a zebra nerite snail
Plants: 3 unknown, 2 moss balls, and java fern
i do weekly 10 % water changes... and i have been testing the tap each time and its been a pH of 7.4 but within a day it will drop to 6.5 in the tank
i did just get over treating ich... i removed my carbon filter media... after treatment was over i put in new carbon and water states stayed normal all but ph... i used API Super Ich cure along with a temp increase
this was almost 2 weeks ago...
with my water change today (75% because of the pH) i put a new carbon filter cartridge in today... cuz the only thing i can think of is that there is still some meds in the water and its messing with the pH
