My thoughts would be:

Ph controller is no good for CO2 in a planted tank. Marine use yes but not planted.

Cool, Thanks or the avice guys.

I currently have a drop checker and I'm keeping it at green and things are going well.

My kH out of the tap is 3-4 which is great as I'm getting discus, but I guess I was looking at a controller just in case I have a pH crash due to low kH. Which is what I had the other day(I'm fishless cycling at the moment which I assume caused the crash due to high nitrates). Do you think that the crash is more than likely due to the cycling or would it happen reguarly once I get the fish in there. The problem is I work away for 2 week and the last thing I want is the pH crashing while I'm away due to low KH and then pumping in CO2 and causing the pH to be really really low. Hence the though of a controller.

Dont worry about the pH crashing with CO2 injection, i know someone who runs a tank with 0dkh and breeds dome "sensitive" fish
