Ph Affected By Jbl Ferropol?

Just wondering if anybody has noticed a pH rise when using the JBL Ferropol liquid ferts. My ph is usually around the 6.8 mark but a day after first using this product I'm measuring 7.6

Anyone had this happen to them?

Another theory is an out of date pH test kit. It's pretty old so may be giving false readings.

Ive used ferropol a fair bit and had no problems with a ph rise. My water is very soft so if it did effect the water I would expect a ph climb to be more noticeable.
