How much do GSPs usually cost?

Well that's the good thing for someone who knows what they're buying. GSPs are around £12 around here, but because they were labeled as dwarfs, they were only £3.45!

I was thinking she could buy them all and trade them in to a LFS.

Better for the puffers, and cc could make a little profit.

Just a thought.

my petsmart for the most part is better than my lfs...they even keep a section for a brackish setup for fish like gsp...i know a lot of pet s marts are bad...but not all of them...

that sadly might acturalyl work the gsps that i bought that were mislabeled were $5.49, i have yet to find another store that carries them though

i went around looking in every place today, left my name and phone # at petcetera, who said they'll ask if tey can order some in...they said they might have figure 8s but i might not be able to take that anymore becuase i just found out they are brackish

went to a few other places, left my name and phone # tio the ppl that said they might be able to order some in. Haven't gone to petsmart today yet...might do that tmr, would the puffers be okay with me for a month? i want to tarde them in with wahtever store gets the dwarf puffers, i don't want to give them back to petsmart

im glad we dont have this problem over here...but then agen most of the pet shops over here dont sell any intresting fish cause it costs to much to import them . the only tank labled wrong iv ever seen was cardinal tetras labled as neon..i did not mind 1/3 of the price for nice little fishys..i did go the next day and show them that they where losing money

Alright, GP's here. I can tell you that you are holding 2 Green Spotted Puffers, no doubt. The only reason why Petsmart doesn't think the GSP's are brackish is because GSP's can live in freshwater, however, they will most likely die if not put into brackish by adulthood. They are born in freshwater, and during a period of time, swim down the river's, into brackish waters, and then finally into full marine, being the ocean. I only hope that PetsMart sells real Dwarf Puffers at mine, because I have yet to see them, and I'm setting up a DP tank soon.

funny this petsmart selling gsp as dwarf puffers topic should be brought up once again. my petsmart does the same thing, they sell gsps as dwarf puffers. idiots.....

That really sucks... that's why I don't buy my fish at petsmart, petco, and even Pj's..... Hey cutecotton you should check out the Big Al's on yonge and Steeles as they have a lot of puffer species, the last time I went there.... I only make all my fish purchase there and they have a great staff that knows and cares for the fish, instead of just selling them..... I'm tryin to get a job there, If I get it I'll hook you up....lol....

This is why I never buy livestock from big chain pet stores. It is cheaper to get equipment there, and that's what I do, but I always buy my fish from a reliable and trustworthy LFS. And BTW my petsmart does that too, except you can see that they are not really DPs, because there is a bunch of 2" fish swimming around in a tank that says "max size, 1 inch". They also have a 5" GSP in a tank full of sailfin mollies. That can't be good.

i buy most of my stuff from pet paradise. its a great little place, and all the people really know their stuff!
