hi just wondering if any one else has bought pets at home ''love fish'' own brand fish food, in my experience after the fish have done eating there are lots of fibers floating round in the tank which settle on all the surfaces and on the plants which then blocks light and the plants start dying.

Are you sure your not putting to much food in? I've never heard that before

no its the same amount of food i've always put in but i have always had tetra food but this pets at home stuff feels like sandpaper! =(

Well more fibre is better (in general fish health) provided the rest of the fishes needs are also met, but having your plants start dying? and fibres apearing everywhere, sounds like a bigger problem than food. What are your water stats, and is there any fungus on any of your tank architecture?

not sure on water stats not got a test kit yet thats this weekends job : ) no theres nothing else but lots of fibres on the plants there was on all the stones/pebbles but that all cleared within a day or two?

To be honest I'm using it at the moment and haven't had a problem.

Try some of your' normal food and see what happens after a few days.
