Hi guys,
If you've read my recent posts, you'll know I'm helping set my nephew's tank up.
Its a

Love Fish Panorama Tank 64 Litre.
http://www.petsathome.com/shop/en/pets/fish/tropical-fish-tanks---accessories/tropical-fish-tanks/love-fish-panorama-tank-64-litre-%28in-store%29

I was just wondering if someone could help me with the features.

There is white and blue leds with the on/off buttons on the left hand side under the hatch on top.
Are these choices important for the fish or are they just to look good?

On the right hand side under the hatch, there is a removeable black box with a button on top. I haven't got a clue what this is for. Any help?

Thanks

The P@H link isn't very helpful, but that is hardly surprising. The lights won't make much of a difference to the fish, but they are important for any live plants you might have in there.
My suggestion is to get a timer so that the lights switch on and off at predetermined times. They only cost a couple of quid and are very useful.

As for the black box, no idea. Could you describe it and maybe tell us what's inside?
A picture would be very useful.

could the black box be for the filter media? Agreeing with Zante - pictures would help :)

I looked at this product via the URL listed. It sounds like the box may probably be the filter system. I also read the reviews and a number of people weren't too happy with the filter system; inadequate, trapped small fish, etc. Just something to think about.
