Petco Sale

I didn't see anything about this on here, but maybe I just didn't search well enough... If you're in the States, and need a tank, go to Petco. Any non-kit tank between 20 and 55 gallons is on sale for $1 per gallon (no bowfronts either). I just got an Oceanic 33g Cube (normally $150 I think) for $33 plus tax. It came with the glass top and light. There was some talk on another forum of Oceanic tanks not being included (only AGA), but they definitely are, even the hex tanks and stuff.

I saw that. Maybe I should buy a 55 gallon tank. It sounds like a perfect size.

I feel bad for you guys. Do you have any Petsmarts? Is this some kind of international forum? Everybody seems to be from the UK.

It's very international, and I would guess that most people aren't from the US here.

The $1 per gallon thing.. you said you got glass lid and lighting with it?

HMMMMMM.. I wouldn't mind a couple 20g longs with lid and lighting.

Might have to consider driving to the states to pick up a couple.

Ya, I'm sure it comes with whatever top it normally comes with, and the Oceanic cube normally comes with the glass top. So if the tank you get normally comes with it, you'll get it.

Just an fyi , the tanks with light and lids are discontinued items but the other tanks that are a buck a gallon don't include a lid or light. I picked up a 55 gal and a stand for 105 buck the stand was on clearence for 50 bucks. The funny thing is there was 1 more 55 gallon left in the store for that price and i though these 2 guys were going to goto blows over it.

If its a long drive don't waste your time but if its a short drive you might get lucky. Tommorow is pay day so might go and try to find a 40 breeder for a planted tank.

Hell yes. I already heard about this on another forums, and I'm heading to PetCo tomorrow to see what's available! I have at least two PetCos in town, methinks I'm going to get myself into trouble

I just went to Petco today to pick up one of those elevated doggie bowl/bar thingies and the tanks only had a 10% off sign. Am I missing something here?

edit~ nevermind, I just read the online ad. They have these little five gallons that I'd LOVE to have, but they're like 15 bucks. Too bad they're not included!

Ya, it's only 20-55 gallon tanks. From what I've read, they're pretty much sold out of anything good, although maybe they'll get a new shipment for the weekend. If only the wife would let me buy another tank
