i just went to a petco i passed today to see if they had anachris (my lfs and petco did not). they had none for sale, but the lady told me she had seen a big bag sitting around a counter full of healthy anachris and full of ramshorns. they must have been clippings from a customer and she told me i could have the ziploc for free. she threw in a couple random plants, possibly sword grass plant and something else that i will soon post pictures of (also free
). i thanked her verrrry much and now i am getting snails out.
Does anachris need intense lighting because thats what the lady said. i heard they do not. she also told me the grass doesnt need intense but moderate lighting. i will soon send pics.
this is to be cover for my ABF until my aponogeton bulbs start to grow and will now replace my floating anubias. some anacrhis are so long i might plant them and let a few smaller stalks float.
i just wanted to know how to plant them as i believe i had read here you should take off the bottom leaves for root development. what is the best way to remove the leaves? they dont snap as well as i was hoping.
