just wondering.. do pet stores accept fish that you give away? like let say you have lots of fish babies and they grow up.. can u give it to them?

Depending on the store, I'm assuming your Canadian as per your name, try Big Als if you have one near you, they usually except fish...

No, I don't work in one - I just frequent it. And FREQUENT is the word!.

ahhh, never been too impressed with pet city tbh

think the bradford store has clouded my judgement, but it's appauling, and as they are run by the same bloke if i won't shop at one then it's best on principal not to shop at the other. money goes to the same place

The irony is that Pet City is a good 30 minute bus ride into town, while around twelve months ago a disused unit at my local shops (60 seconds walk away) was being fitted out. As time went on, it became obvious that it was going to be an aquatic retailer. My dreams had come true!. Then the knife in the heart - it was marine-only, just my luck. Mind you, that's where I get my frozen brineshrimp; it's not going to start thawing out on the way home.
I still like to go in and look, though - they've some of the healthiest stock you'll ever see. I saw the owner as I was on my way to work the other night and he told me he's going to be stocking tropicals and accessories soon. Mind you, I'll always be loyal to Pet City.

I know there's a Bradford store, but I've never been. As I say, I've never had anything but excellent advice and service from Mick at the Leeds branch.

I know there's a Bradford store, but I've never been. As I say, I've never had anything but excellent advice and service from Mick at the Leeds branch.

i have heard good things about Mick before from some others on the forum. please don't ever go to the bradford store, they regularly stocked dyed fish, tanks are dirty, poorly maintained, it's staffed by imbeciles and it's just generally really rubbish!!
