Argh. So many annoyances, in my tank so far, and it's not even finished cycling yet! Anyway...
Does anyone know what these are? Thought it was maybe bacteria? It's like a really really small piece of broccoli, or a tree! It looks like it's connected to the glass by one fiber, and then sprouting off that is a round ploomage. There's about a dozen or so of them on my glass. They're around 1mm wide

I'm not too sure what the white flecks are surrounding them are, I have a feeling it might be Planeria, do they shed their skin or something? Because a lot of those white flecks look like just shedded skin attatched to the glass

Next! I used to feed tadpoles in my pond daphnia, and I don't *think* this is what these are, however it was a good few years ago so I can't really remember exactally what they look like. There's quite a few of them in the tank... some are free swimming and some crawl around on the glass... like this one...

They range from the size of a grain of sand to around 1.5mm

Sorry for this awful shot, but it's the best I could get, they move fast!

It's a planted tank so i'm guessing they could have come from there. I don't know though.

Anyone?

Ok... for reference I *belive* the beasties in picture 2 and 3 are Ostracods. Apparently not harmful and some fish will eat them.

I went on a bit of a hunt and took most of them out, however there's still a few dotting about. Think i'll keep them in my 'pest' tank with some other bad boys.

I'm still trying to find out what the things are in the first pic! If anyone could help that would be brilliant
