My first male guppy got a small portion of reddish brown discoloration on the edge of his back fin. I treated it with Melafix and it went away completely, but I treated him for a few more days after it went away anyway, to be safe. Then I replaced him with the others and once again he has a bright red “mark” on the edge of his back fin. Same place or close to it.

It's just on the very edge of his back fin and he still eats and swims and is happy looking.

He's half grey-black (metallic blue green in light) and whitish with a nearly clear tail fin BTW.

sounds like fin rot have you treated with fin rot treatnment, i usually use melafix after fin rot has gone to renew the tail

hello

it does sound like fin rot
if you have been getting it all the time then it could be it is becoming ressistant to the treatment you are using i would also check that the tank isn't getting chilled on cold nights
hope they get better good luck
