i got my latest betta just over 2 weeks ago, he had obvious damage to his tail but he's a very unusual colour (silver copper mask)
i've dosed him for a week on melafix, no fin regrowth
i changed him on to King British Fin Rot meds, still no improvement, in fact it looks like it's starting to get worse
he's in a heated 4 gallon acrylic hospital tank, the water has salt added and has a 70-100% water change ever 2-3 days.
but i'm going on holiday for 8 days next tuesday, and i'm going to have to move him to one of my filtered tanks (currently with just otos) and leaving my completely-non-fishy housemate to fish sit, i don't want her to have to medicate really, and it'll have to be un-salted because of the otos, help!
oh crap i just had a brainwave, i could move one of my other bettas to the oto tank, and this guy can have a filtered 5 gallon to himself, then it can still have salt at least.
anyone got any fin rot tips???
