thanks.. I notice one of them hangs out with the shwartz cories. he is a bit bigger.. maybe that is why... :/ perhaps they are loners till they are older..

I initially had 2 Pepper Cories in my tank when begin to stock it for the first time. One died and at the next time I added fish, I bought three more, the one that was in there jumped right in the group and ever since they have all stuck together.

I had always assumed that Cories of the same type would always stick together. They have done for me.

On an unusual case, my parents have an Albino, Bronze and Pepper, who all shoal together!

Peppered cories are schooling fish and may spend time with the group together or not, its up to them really. Its perfectly normal behavior for them to both hang out together or go their own way.

I've got 6 cory trileanus (sp?) and they only shoal at feeding times. the rest of the tme they are all busy in other parts of the tank, mostly separate

two of my pepper cores seem to like beign witht he shwartz.. and the other 3 like to be on their own.. odd.. thoguh sometimes two fo the 3 loners are near each other.

I think corys are just funny fish that don't follow the 'norm'! the main reason we bought ours was because we wanted a cute little shoal of bottom feeders! They only really shoal at feeding time and then off they go! Very entertaining little guys though!
