Hows the cory today.

Ah thanks for asking, its very strange whats happening. the fish is still shawling normally + looking happy and eating well. the growth/tumour has thinned in the middle so the weigth of the eye means its essentially half way down its back and looking backwards! If the growth continues to thin in the middle, then i the eye will disconnectand then eye socket will be sealed buy the remaining stump.

The fish seems to be oblivious to this process

Ok.
Any improvement with the med.

Using the med you recommended has caused thinning of the growth in the middle.
This morning I added the 2nd and final amount of meds and on friday i will put the carbon back in. Then i will do my weekly water change. The fish seems fine otherwise. sadly with my work shifts i wasnt able to take your advise sooner as the fish will loose an eye.

The other day I was using the aqadvisor program and it says my filter is much too weak for my stock levels. can you recommend a good filter for a 200L (H=100cm, D=40cm, L=50cm) slightly overstocked tank with the following fish in:
5 silver dollar
5 peppered corrys
10 neon tetras
1 serpea tetra
1 shrimp

I currently use Fluval u2 internal water filter there is lots of SD poo left on top of sand.
I all also thinking it would be nice to get some guppys' as I have nothing at the top level of the tank. My concern is if the tails will become 'nipped' When i had 4 serpeas they were horrid little terrorist fish, im not sure about just 1 on its own. Your thoughts please.

and thanks again.

I would run this filter with the old one.
Eheim Aquaball 2212 Filter.

To be honest I wouldn't add anymore fish.

I would also carry on with the med for now.

You can also double the dose of anti internal bacteria med. Only in issolation.

Ok i'll check that filter out. any idea how i should position the filters please, and will teh extra oxygen being put into the water be ok?

edit: Then i'll stop askign so many questions!

With the eheim aqua ball you can turn water flow up and down.
Just position the new filter on the other side of the tank.

right I've ordered that filter and it shoudl arrive on friday, I'll position it directly oposite the existing filter.
Many many thanks

How does the fish look today.

When the filter arrives soak the sponges in tank water and then squeeze your other filter sponges onto the new ones to seed it abit.

No real change but the fish behaves like a normal happy healthy corry which is good at least.

Nice one on the 'seeding' info. Hopefully tomorrow the filter will arrive and i can do that before setting it up. i hope the new current doesnt freak out the silver dollars

Just turn the flow on both filter down.
I have two filters running and it never bothered the fish.
