Do any of you planted tank experts know of a suspended/pendant light that is 24" long and is between 70 and 100 Watts?

I really love open-top tanks and suspended lights, but it's really hard to find 24" pendants that aren't over 150 Watts. If anyone could help me here I'd appreciate it greatly.

Anyone know a 24" suspended light fixture with about 85W (give or take 15W)? I'd really appreciate any tips...

Arcadia do a 60cm version that either houses 2 T8s, 2 T5s or even 4 T5s!

If you are after MH lighting you can only get pendants in 70w, 150w and 200w. These are considerably expensive, you could get an Aqua Medic 150w halide for about £130, the arcadia ones are about £200.

T5 lighting is getting to be a really good option now and anything in the 6000-8000k range looks great for planted tanks, steer clear of the arcadia plant pro tubes though unless you like pink!

Just get a few of those suspended shop lights from Home Depot. They work great for me on my turtle tank.

My tank if 2' long. Is an aquamedic MH 70W or 150W going to cast light beyond my tank, or not far enough? In other words, will the tank be illuminated properly without light going to waste? Can you give me a link to the store that sells them? (I'm in the US, so needs to be in $) Thanks for the replies.

Generally speaking one MH light gives about a 2 foot spread so you should be fine, I cant see any problems apart from the evaporation, which you're going to have to keep a major eye on.
