Okay, so here's the story!
Okay, so I was setting up one of my 10 gallons to breed zebra danios in, so I was rinsing some marbles with hot tap water in a strainer. Those marbles were fairly clean, but I didn't have enough, so I grabbed some marbles from my brother's room, and began rinsing those. There was all kinds of junk with those marbles, because they were in a container with pens and pencils. I took everything out that I found, (everything from paper to a couple old goldfish flakes  ) or so I thought.
As I started putting the marbles in the aquarium, I noticed that the water left over from the marbles was pink!
I then realized that pencil crayon leds were in my brother's bucket, and I didn't notice them when I was rinsing the marbles, so now all the marbles are in my tank, probably with some pencil crayon led, and I'm not sure if this is going to harm my fish!
Will carbon take the pencil crayon residue out of the tank? I'm really not sure....

Here are the water stats:
ammonia: 0ppm
nitrite: 0ppm
nitrate: 15ppm
ph: 7.5
temp: 78F

Thanks in advance for any help!
BTW, I did a 25% water change before putting the marbles in, so I'm not sure if I should do another one....?

I think lead hasn't been used in most pencils/crayons for years now, due to the risk of lead poisoning from people (especially children) chewing the ends of the crayons.

You already rinsed the marbles in tapwater so I reckon most of the colour will be in your brothers bucket not your tank (hopefully).

Do another waterchange if you are worried but it sounds like any risks are minimal.

even so arnet plant wieghts lead any way but im not sure

Unless you've been buying them from china, pencil crayons such as Crayola have all been non-toxic for years now. They're a mixture of paraffin wax and colour pigment, and are harmless to people. Most of the reddish pigments (such as in the pink one) are iron-oxide-containing.

I wouldn't sweat it too much, if you're really concerned then do another water change. Keep an eye on the stats and fish behaviour over the next couple of days but I wouldn't really worry too much. I can't imagine any ingredients in crayons being very toxic to fish.

Okay, thanks! :good:
Even if I sounded worried, I wasn't that worried, I was just asking, just in case it could potentially do some harm.
Thanks again! :good:
