Hi everyone, I need some help with my Angelfish
I have a male and female ( Md/Lg ) that are paired. They spawn every 11 days or so and have been for 2-3 months.
I noticed yesterday after they laid their eggs that the male and female had some white ( Fungus ) like stuff on their Pectoral fins. Mostly toward the end of the fins. The Male actally looks like he lost a bit of the top/end of his left Pectoral fin.
Could this be caused by the Fanning of the eggs?
They eat fine and were lip locking again after the eggs dissapeared ( Usually 2 days after they are laid )
The eggs never hatch as it is a Community Tank and I let them try to sort everything out. Really not interested in a tank full of baby angels atm.
There always is a little chassing going on when the Angels lay the eggs as they shoo away the others if they get too close, but there never is any real aggression.
I am hoping someone can help me with this situation, maybe someone here has the same problem.
My water quality is real good and has been basically the same readings since I did my Fishless cycle back in March 2008

My water readings and setup are as follows.

25-30 % water changes every 6-7 days.
I added a bit of salt this time hoping it may help with the situation.
I use Prime as my water conditioner and I let the water sit at least 24-48 hours before I add it to the tank.

2- Rena XP-3 Filters. 1 filter has carbon in it the other is pure ceramic rings and bio chem stars with the appropriate pads.
UV sterilizer on 1 of the Rena XP3s
Tank was originally fishless cycled back in March / 08
65 Gallon.

Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 10
PH - 7.2 - 7.4 These readings are always basically the same

Fish load:
2 paired and breeding angels
6 Corodoras
2 Clown Loaches
1 Rainbow shark 4"
1 BGK 4 "

thanks everyone, any help would be appriciated. I wish I could attach a photo but they fan their Pectoral fins so no way to take a good picture.

I would just add some pimafix to see if that clears the white fungus growth of the fish, water changes might even clear it.
