Peckoltia

Hi....I came across the classification 'Peckoltia' today while reading an aquarium book. I had not seen this name before. They look like plecostomus.....is this another name for them or just a different type of catfish that I've just run across for the first time? Thanks. SH

its a sub species... plecostomus's fall in to the Pterygoplichthys sub species.

then there are others sub species like Ancistrus (bristle noses), Hypancistrus which include king tiger plecs, queen arabesque plecs and others...

But they are all part of the loricariidae familly.
