This is silly I know, do I put them in the microwave to soften, deshell and then pop in making sure cooled down?

If so tried this but no interest whatsoever! The first bit sunk, the second I held Calcifer had a quick nibble but no

Can I have your pea stories and methods please

Thank you

was it small enough for him to eat?
^^the only advice i have to offer
my bettas never had to be taught how to eat peas...they go nuts for them.
good luck

think I will try again tom and cut much much smaller. He is having to get used to lots of new things, my boy is great though :)

thanks loraxchick, I think just keep trying is the key for me!

Boil some water and pour it over a few peas in a glass. Leave a few minutes then fish out with a spoon. Peel to get 2 pea halves. These have a skin too, so squish to get the mush out of the middle and feed them that.
Low quality peas are better-fresh birds eye petit pois don't mush properly-asda smart price are much more the thing

I have tescos value! Ah didn't squish enough obviously lol!! Will make sure practice better squishing skills, nothing is too good for Calcifer!

well after much coercing and starving him for a bit, he successfully ate some mini bits I squished for him today! Luckily he is due a water change as the tank is littered with pea bits, lol

oop! We have pea foraging, he is eating a couple of good bits. He is probably making up for me telling him off earlier for attacking one of my plants. Boy did I get the puppy dog look saying "what me?"
