I would like to start feeding my betta peas. I have canned peas, can I feed him those? If so, how do I prepare them? If I feed him a frozen pea I just run it under warm water for a minut and then cut it for him right? Thanks :).

I personally use frozen peas. To prep them for Oliver, I first pick a single pea, run it over hot water, de-shell the pea, continue running under hot water until the pea is softened, chop it into 4 pieces, and feed Oliver about 2 of those pieces.

Hope that helps. :3

I use frozen, pop into a cup with a l;ittle water then blast in the microwave for 10 secs or so, till the water bubbles. Then i shell the pea and cut it up, then feed using tweezers.

Well thank you on the compliment! I just take about 8 pees caned and chop 4 up and leave 4 together (chopped for the smaller guys) and they just gobble them up. I would however recommend feeding the pees first before the regular food so they still have a apatite.

I get a frozen pea, put it in a cup and pour boiling water on it until its soft. Then take it out and pop the pea and use the squashed insides to feed to my betta. He loves it and often picks at it till it sinks and then hides it in the ornament and guards it!

frozen you must warm up well then cool to room temp, canned I make sure they are unsalted or rinsed off, crush the pea out of the shell and drop in tank.
