I have been reading other threads and I was wondering if I was missing something completly or if the guppies really do eat peas...like the vegetable peas.

Lol. Lots of fish eat peas and many people feed their fish peas regularly. You boil them and if you have small fish like guppies you cut the into pieces and feed them to your fish. They help if your fish is bloated or constipated or if they have swim bladder problems.

oh cool. it doesnt hurt to feed it to them regularly? or will it hurt to add it to my tank since i have other fish in it too?

it won't harm the other fish though? i have guppies, gouramis, cory cats, neon and glowlight tetras in the same tank. the two female guppies are pregnant too.

You also have to remove the shell off the pea, and all you fish will be fine with them.

Just put them in boiling water for 3 mintues then pour into cold water. Pinch the shell off and smush them between your fingers and into the tank. They will love them. My cories go after what the others leave and seen to enjoy them.

That's really cool! I'd never heard of that. My daughter will love feeding her fish peas. :)

Yup. All those fish should do fine with peas. Remove the shell, smoosh up the peas a bit so they're in manageable sizes. Then feed. Sit back and watch the digestive cycle go. Poo everywhere!

sounds awesome. haha now i know what to do with my peas (i hate them).
just kidding.

Much the same that all love it, pea's blanched lettice, cucunber and that

I just fed my fishes peas, they quite like it. Even my amano & red cherry shrimps like it. :)
