Pea's

Hi, i see people talking about feeding their bettas pea's, that it helps clear their system?
I want to feed mine pea to be on the safe side, but i dont know how to prepare t it, also how often should i feed him?

Cook frozen peas for a few minutes in boling water, let cool down, pop out of shell, mush between fingers and add to the tank.

Make sure you mush it well though, I had one pea that got past me and and my betta girl was trying to stuff the whole half a pea in her mouth. Not being able to fit, she'd swim around with it for like, 5 seconds, then spit it out, then repeat. She did this until I caught it upon one of the spit outs and mushed it better. 6
