Would it be a bad idea to put Pearls in with Pengun Tetras? I know they don't like being with very active fish but my Penguins are pretty chill. Also, my tank has an average current so would it need to be toned down to suit Pearls? Thanks

Pearls are ok with active fish provided the fish don't nip so any non-nippy tetra is fine.

You'll need to decide whether your particular tetras are liable to nip it seems :p I have heard of them being a little nippy too but have never kept them myself. Anyway, as long as you have a back-up plan, it should be possible to try it out without much trouble as long as you can remove the pearls if necessary. I also just noticed your current question - the pearls should do fine with what you have now as they are strong swimmers if they need to be. As long as there's an area where they can rest without fighting the water, they'll be fine.

:D Never had any problem with my Pearl Gourami and Serpae Tetras and they are supposed to be one of the worst nippers so i have been told. Every fish is different being told again that Pearls supposed to be shy but mine is right in your face :flex:  . I think it comes down to the individual fish
Best of luck with your fishys
