Just a quickie:
I bought 3 danios recently and suddenly my snail population has fallen dramatically. Do danios eat snails? I can't think what else has happened to them (they could be hiding I suppose - anyone have a more educated answer?)
Thanks

When my snails tried to walk on the meniscus of the water my danios would play soccer with it for soooo long - I'd not doubt that they would eat it if they can either.

if a snail is small enough for a danio to eat they will do it. I'm growing my own snails for my puffer and they are a bit sall right now so I need to slip them down the side of the tank when if feed bloodworms so they can hit the floor and be discovered by my puffer. Your fsh won't hurt themseves so dont worry.

Excellent! I never knew Danios would try eating snails. I suppose they must be eating them, because there just aren't as many around now (touch wood!)
Snail football! So are Danios known for eating anything that will fit in their mouths? Someone told me that mosquito larvae and bloodworms are the same thing. Is this correct?
