Fish Symptoms : Seems to be swimming on her side on bottom of tank. Only moving when the other zebra Danios chase her. My partner thinks her gills are slightly red but I am unsure. Since we had her she had always darted about and almost the boss of the tank. I have recently changed the tank water almost 100%, had to change stand over in an emergency, but stats have been stale.

Cant see no swelling or raised gills, scales, cant really find a fitting description for her symptoms yet. Only obvious things is her red gills which have always been red.

Volume and Frequency of water changes: 10 - 15% weekly on Sunday (but not this Sunday)

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: None

Tank inhabitants: 6 other Zebra Danios, 2 x Plattys, 5 x Black Neon Tetras

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): Added some new rocks, but were treated beforehand. (washed and soaked for 24 hours)

Exposure to chemicals: None that I am aware of

Digital photo: none about

Look forward to your replys and advice.

Darting around the tank can be a sign of parasites, plus you said the gills are slightly red.
Any flicking and rubbing, or swimming in a jerky movement.

said the little fella use to dart around alot, very active fish, read here (im sure) that the Danios are very active fish. Now she lying around almost swimming on her side around bottom of tank.

No jerking, or obvious rubbing. Gills have always been red (had her around 7 months) only thing i can think of is stress due to 3 tank moves for her over last 5 weeks. My partner thinks that the gills are Reder but I don't.

Been watching her and she swimming fast as normal but at bottom of tank but after a short sprint she goes over to her side!

When she swimming on her side is she trying to rub herself on the gravel.
She dosnt sound good I would issolate her to be honest.

Not obvious rubbing, but seems to be going along the gravel! But that is only when she moves due to me looking at her or when the other Danios getting their own back :p

Issolate her and try a bacterial med but must increase aeration.
Good luck.
