Hello All,
So I thought I'd try my luck with 3 Pearl Danios from the lfs today, one of them was particularly bloated which I thought I would risk the purchase on her being pregnant as opposed to having dropsy.
Turns out I was right and she started laying eggs in the fish bag as I took her and the 2 males home!
So I've now got her and about 50+ eggs in one of those breeding nets which seperates the mother from the eggs. She doesn't look like she's finished yet either
Is there any way I can tell whether the eggs have been fertilised? Do I need to keep the eggs in shade so they do not grow fungus? How best do I look after parent and eggs?
Thanks!
