My peacock eel, about 6" is sitting at the bottom not moving much. My water is at 7.7 ph 80 degrees F. He has been eating but tonight i noticed him just sitting there not moving when I feed him. Normally when I give him frozen brine shrimp he eats, but tonight he stayed on the bottom resting his head breathing and not moving. What is wrong?

Is the eel darker in colour or paler.
Is the eel acting listless and lethagic.
Is the eel trying to rub himself in the subsrate.
Is the eel boated or skinny.

he is all better now. i think he is just now getting used to the tank and all. he is beginning to be more active at night rather than the day. he was just adjusting and i flipped. he really is a beautiful specimen and i was worried i was going to lose him

Ok that good news then, it can take a fish a few days to get over the trauma of the journey and new enviroment.
