My plants are pants!!!!

I've done water changes, checked all my levels are OK. The only thing that is high is Phosphates, hence the weekly water changes.

Treated weekly with Leaf Zone and Florish Excel monthly. Have also used API and Flourish plant tabs...

Using A Daylight and a Plant light 30W double strip light on for 10 hours a day.

You'd think the plants would be bursting out the tank....... but no.....

So if anyone recognises these plant symptoms, can you get back to me please and let me know what I need to do to get the healthy plants growing again????

firstly, why are you using Excel every month? It needs to be dosed daily, it only has a half-life of 12-24 hours. I do agree those plants are missing out on a few things.

What kind/wattage lighting have you got in there and is it stocked heavily?

I guess the tank is stocked heavily, its a Juwel Rio 180L

Light tubes I am using at the mo are:

Marine White - High output 14k (front ) 30W

Juwel Day-Lite 30W at rear, although this was only changed over at the weekend from a HOBBY Plant Light 30W

Both are T8 100cm tubes

right, get rid of all the deadness. Cut the dead leave off as close to the crowns of the plants. Start a fresh! Then start dosing the excel everyday, also dose the Leaf zone a couple of times a week. Leafzone isn't very cost effective, so if you are gonna buy some ferts off of the net, personally I'd go for some Tropica Plant nutrition +. Keep up with the water changes on the tank and you 'will' see improvement in 2 weeks to a month. The tropica stuff contains Nitrate and phosphate, as it looks like your plants may be deficient in them both (i know it's hard to believe).

Leaf zone isnt overly amazing. Id be dosing the amount your tank needs in a week every day. I used it when i first started up and only noticed any growth from it after upping the dose significantly
