Hello peeps, new to the forum. Ive had a 60 litre tank for about 6 months with 2 angel fish and a red tailed skark thing. Its great, but what i was thinking was adding some plants into the mix so when i go away they can munch on that? Plus its probabely good for the fish aswell i mean does it give them oxygen like trees give us?
Anyway i feel like i need to know those things so its even worth doin  To the point now can i have a few plants to say the right side of my tank and add compact flouros just above the plants? :shifty: that way i wont have to loads of tubes plus i was thinking about getting glass catfish because they trip me out but hear they need dark areas or dim or wateva over wise they die? also does anyone know if they have to be a large group or can they survive with 3 say.

Thanks for the help :good:

welcome to the forum.

First off the angelfish & RT shark will outgrow the tank soon, so it might be worth thinking about rehoming them before you get to attached - unless you are planning on getting a larger tank.

Plants release oxygen & remove toxins from the water.

Easy plant species:

anubias, vallisneria, hygrophillia polysperma, moss balls, java moss, cryptocoryne sp.

You are better tking your stocking question over to tropical discussion, i am not the best with those types of Q's!!

If you do need darker area's then consider some floating plants such as frogbit or water lettuce
