I got a lovely 5" Bright orange parrot as part of the deal of the Rio 300 i just bought. I never liked parrots but i am falling in love with "Fred" as named by my son, he's got a ton of personality and is a great focal point for the Rio 300 i currently have him in (have spread out the fish i got with the deal and divided them into the 2x Rio 300 i bought last week!)

Anyway......

he has spent the last few years in the Rio 300 i bought with another parrot and they were always by each others side (as evidenced in the pics of the tank i saw), but "Fred's" partner suddently "keeled-over" the day before i got the tank.

I am tempted to get another Parrot to accompany Fred but am worried that they might not get on,

What are peeps experience / knowledge about having 2x Parrots in the same tank, bearing in mind Fred is 5" now and the tank is only 48" 300 litre / 67 gallon

Is there just as much chance it will cause "aggro"???

Is it pure pot luck as to how they would get on?

Do you think i should try it?

Thanks
