I've been fortnunate with my set-up, its basically all Parrots and some Bristlenose and a couple of Kribs. Its a Rio 300 so just a little bigger than the Vision 260. Its about 48" long, 20" deep and 22" high or thereabouts.
I actually have x7 Parrots in there, biggest is 6" and smallest is 3"
They get on great and i can't tell you how enjoyable a set up this is! I always thought they were pig ugly, but after i got one, i got more and like i said i got lucky, its been peaceful without problems for months. They are all the bright orange type.
I am sure if i keep them for their life-time which is the plan, i will upgrade the size of tank at some point.
You might get more luck in the hybrid section, thats where a lot of Parrot fans hang out lol, its a acquired taste, peeps can get a bit wound-up due to them being hybrids and all......
By "yellow" do you mean the traditional Blood Parrots that are orange? Or do you mean yellow as in "dyed"?
Not that it affects the amount in one tank. I dont like the fancy coloured ones.
A fishy buddy of mine who is against Parrots even quite likes my set-up, not that he would do it, but he has given credit to it and the way it looks.
Sorry going off topic, my son loves feeding them, some of them jump right out the water for prawns lol
Vancouver on here seems to know a fair bit about Parrots as does a guy called ~T~ and i am sure there are others.
Even if i blow my own trumpet, i am good on water changes, about 30% every 4-5 days pretty much without fail on my set-up's, most peeps would probably criticise x7 Parrots in one 300 litre, but its working for me and with general responsible maintenance i dont anticipate any problems, but its basically a "parrot" set up really, i got rid of some other fish in there to make it like a "themed" tank, full of bog-wood as well, the wood and tanins make the orange look ace (in my opinion)
