Parrots Eating Disorder!

Hi guys as advised by some friends i feed my 2 parrots which are about 3 inchs big, flake and i have one pleco who i feed on the algae wafers but the parrots just seem to anihalate the flake and then make there way onto eating the poor plecs wafers ?

what do you guys feed yours on ??

i feed my parrots pellets and once a week bloodworm a one minute replie!!

Its fine for the parrots to eat the algae wafers, however for the pleco try feeding it the algae wafers after the tank lights have been turned off, it will have no problem eating in the dark since plecos are mostly nocturnal fish anyway.
Make sure you feed the pleco more than just algae wafers and parrots more than just fish flakes though, both of these fish thrive best off a varied diet that is not too reliant on dried foods .

Yes bloodworm would be good, but they should also eat brineshrimp and beefheart

The parrots should accept frozen fish foods like krill, myasis shrimp, artemecia, daphinia etc. Chopped up de-shelled cooked pea's and chopped up blanched spinache can also be fed to the fish to make sure they get some veg in their diet too . For the pleco, cucumber, courgette/zuchini and par boiled potato will all be accepted, other foods like prawns, squid, mussels etc can also be fed occasionally to give the pleco some more protein in its diet too . Its still good though to feed the pleco mostly off algae wafers, as plecos can get addicted to eating stuff like cucumber and will shun their algae wafers after a while if you start feeding the pleco off cucumber every day etc.
