Parrot Fish

i used to have a parrot fish, it out grown the tank so i gave it away to a store near me but i was just wondering are there mouths ment to be on the side and why did it always go for my finger

they are hybrid fish and sometimes there mouths are deformed.

Parrot are hybrids and as said the mouths can sometimes be deformed, as to why it went for your finger, well all fish ahve their own personalities, and my guess is that he was after your finger cuz it looked like food.

My blood parrot always comes up to suck on my hand when i'm cleaning his tank. I like to thing he's kissing me. He's a very friendly fish and you can hand feed him. However he did eat one of my sucker fish a few years ago!

i had a blue light in my tank and one day i was lying in bed and the fish tank reflection was on the wall, i could see the parrot fish attacking my sucker fish too lol .x
