Parrot Cichlids

You could try that... spend some time watching the fish in the tank and try to pick out 2 that arent fighting with other fish in the tank... thats usually what I do when I'm looking for ''nice'' fish.

Ya good plan. But what about green terrors? Could I also have on of those with a parrot? :/

I believe GTs are mean..... I don't know if you'd be able to put one with a parrot.. maybe if you buy them when they're both young, but of course there are no guarantees.

I have 6 blood parrots (about 4-5") with 3 yellow labs (3"). No problem at all. Having said that, I started with 4 smaller, 1.5" yellow labs. The labs used to nip the parrots. So I gave them away and replaced them with the three 3" labs. No problem since the switch.

My tank is 6'x2'x2'. I also have 4 frontosa, and 4 monos.

Hope this helps.

There's still a lot of growing to do...

what are the parents of a parrot?

Nobody knows for sure.. some say red devil X severum... have also heard about synyspillim or whatever theyre called.

Really? Good, it would help to have one. My dad said I'd get the tank in the summer, oh well, better than then never!
