one juvenile parrot cichlid in a 35 gallon...
what can I add for tank mates?

have considered:
angels
rosy barbs
tiger barbs
....
what can I add and how many should I add?

I also what to know, I was thinking of putting a blood parrot and 2 angels in a 30 gal.

hey!
after not getting much of a response on here I found a site that helped me -
www.parrotcichlid.com

its a forum club all about parrots :)

30 Gal is a little small for one adult BP let alone with angels which also grow as large. Even if the fish are juveniles it may not work as the BP's and angels may fight. Tiger barbs are a bad idea as they are fin nippers and depending on how your BP is temperament wise you might find they nip at them. Rosy barbs are a better choice as they dont tend to be fin nippers. Your sig says you have 3 BP's though, are they all in the 30gal?

This forum is a lot better too www.bloodparrots.co.uk

based on my personal experience, you can add any fish with your blood parrots as lng as there bigger than their mouths, i had 4 blood parrots with 3 oscarsand had no problems, i currently have 2 blood parrots with gouramies, tetras, barbs and rainbow shark, ive had them for a few years now and ive had no problem. i find blood parrots quite peacefull, but i always keep an eye because they are cichlids after all

I have a very interesting tank at the moment - I have a few african clawed frogs in with my BP (would not recommend to others unless they were quite familiar with ACF needs!!!)

must say it is an amusing tank!
