Parents Won't Let Me Get A Tank. Help Please

I had bought a 30L rena from a freind who came to my house and we both set it up, my mam has said that she was thinking of letting me get one anyways so I just fastforwarded the idea we had gone out to play football whislt she was out and when she came in she kicked off so much, she said it was too loud, i said i could just get a quieter tank, she says its too big-is she having a laugh??? More to the point she has made me give it back so no I am very angry wanting fish, can you think of anything to do to get a tank and fish?
It was a tall shape making it look big, maybe getting a traditional cuboid may look smaller?

It is a **** take in my opinion, why dont they let me just get one, if i dont look after it properly they will die then I will have no fish so the tank would go anyways.

Parents don't jump in with both feet like you youngsters do. We like to plan things out like how big, noise, where it goes etc. ( yeah I know boring but thats the way some of us are. )
Try talking with her and researching things like size, noise of filters , aerators, where will it go and so forth. My 8 year old and I planned things out for months before we started with our aquarium and we still have problems with the tank even so.

Start of with something simple like a goldfish (which i did) care for it (feed/clean etc)
Once they saw me caring for it, when he died they thought i could handle more tropical fish.

Look at it this way. If you want to be a police officer. You cant just be a police officer, you have to train and work hard before you are giving that chance. Its the same with you and you wanting a tank

goldfish arent really the simplest fish, granted they dont need heaters, but they need big tanks and produce alot of waste.

thanks guys, I will try and persuade her to go to a pet shop with me and decide on a smallish tank, will keep you all posted!
