About 3 months ago 3 of my fish started to flick up against things and where pooping out white stuff which i didnt think much of then my tigerbabb,Glowlight and danio took a turn for the worse they started to hide all the time and after a closer inspection i noticed they had gotten really skinny and the Danio had developed a open wound (By its gills) which was really red so i removed them from the tank and treated them with anti bacterial stuff after about a week the Tigerbarb and glowlight tetra died and the Danio started acting crazy like jumping out of the water, Banging into the glass next day it was dead... soo i went out and brought Parasite Clear and treated all the other fish (None died) all was fine untill now.. my 3 Danio's are flicking again arghh should i treat them with the parasite stuff again?? ohh and the flicking is the only symptoms theve got... Ammonia 0 Nitrate 0 and i do water changed every Friday so the waters in good condition

How many gallons or litres is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
What test kit are you using.
Do you have a nitrite reading.
What your tap nitrate reading.
Do you have live plants in the tank.

Being skinny and white stringy poo can be internal parasites to fish tb.
Did the fish lose weight due to not eating. How old were the fish that died.

Fish can flick and rub with internal parasites.

Lost any fish to bent spines.

Trying to jump out of the tank can be bad water quality, toxins, parasites, ph shock.

Signs of flukes are.
Flicking and rubbing.
Erratic swimming or darting.
Weightloss.
Red sores on the body of the fish.
Opaque body with excess slime.
Red inflamed gills or pale gills with excess slime.
Swimming in a jerky movement.
Laboured breathing or gasping at surface of tank.
Spitting food out.

Here a link for you to take a look at.

Tank is 20 Gal
It cant be the tank because all the other fish are fine...
Right Ok Here's The Symptoms Of The Dead Fish!!!
Tigerbarb #1 had a sunken in belly, Hiding alot and was spitting out food
Tigerbarb #2 Skinny even tho it was eating,Hiding alot, Breathing Heavily at bottom
The Glowlight Tetra was getting really skinny due to not eating, Going in circles breathing heavily at the top of the tank
The Zebra Danio had a red open sore near its gills and was going crazy, Darting and jumping around (Still eating)
See all the fish had different symptoms
My 3 Zebra Danios symptoms are just flicking atm i treating them with the parasite clear stuff yesterday and if anything its made the flicking worse. Just dunno what to do anymore ....

It could be flukes to internal parasites. What does the med treat you are using.

Swimming in circles fast can also be brain damage to internal parasites.

Ummm im using Parasite Clear Tank Buddies it treats Gill Mites,Body Flukes,Anchor Worms,Gill Fluks and Fish Lice and it worked in my other tank so i can't understand why these danios are still showing the symptoms

You have to retreat for flukes.
You need to kill the young as they hatch.
Also flukes cause bacterial infections. So you have to back up with a bacterial med.

Trying to jump out of tank (dinoflagellates [free-living or parasitic], pH shock, toxins)

Ok thanks!! ohh when i treat them do i need to take the filter out?? coz i really dont want the bacteira to die and cause a mini cycle

Does it say in the instuctions if the med wipes the beneifical bacteria out in the filter.

Some parasites meds do knock water stats.

If you don't treat you will lose the fish.

It says will not harm biological filtration so im guessing the filter will be fine btw should i use this and the bacterial stuff at the same time? or leave it awhile

Does it say in the instructions if you can use bacterial meds with the product.
If not you will have to use a bacterial treatment after the med course has finished.
