Parasites On My Swordtail

I have had my swordtail in my quarintine tank for a few months. I moved her when some new fish started nipping her fins. Her fins have now regrown and i would like to move her back. The only problem is i've noticed a long white thing on her dorsal fin. She is long finned and I can't figure out if it's just a bent fin ray or a parasite.

the water stats:
0 ammonia
0 nitrite
25 nitrate
7.6 ph

Any ideas?

Does it have a forked tail.

It does not have a forked tail and it's starting to get a red tint to it. She is a red swordtail, so mabey it is just a fin ray. I will try to get a picture as soon as i find some batteries for the camera.

Dosn't sound like a parasite then.
